      What is a dental plaque?
      Dental plaque is a biofilm, usually a pale yellow color, that develops naturally on the teeth. It contains a big amount of various bacteria, causing teeth cavities and other teeth damages. Also, to prevent possible gum diseases, it is necessary to treat dental plaque as soon as possible using correct cleaning technique.
      What is a tartar?
      In dentistry, calculus or tartar is a form of hardened dental plaque caused by insufficient or incorrect dental hygiene. It is caused by the continuous accumulation of minerals from saliva on the teeth plaque. Its rough surface provides an ideal medium for further plaque formation, threatening the health of the gingiva (gums).
